STRICT RULES AND REGULATIONS
SMART MOBILE PHONES AND JIO PHONES ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE CAMPUS OF PEARL ACADEMY. ANY STUDENT WHO IS CAUGHT INSIDE THE CLASSROOM WITH A MOBILE PHONE IN HIS/HER POSSESSION SHALL BE FINED AND THE MOBILE PHONE WILL BE SEIZED AND KEPT IN CUSTODY OF PEARL ACADEMY AUTHORITIES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE ACADEMIC SESSION.
HOWEVER KEEPING IN VIEW OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, ONLY BASIC MOBILE PHONES (PHONES WITH A BASIC CALL FACILITY) ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT BY THE STUDENTS WHICH WILL BE DEPOSITED TO THE OFFICE OF PEARL ACADEMY UPON ENTERING THE COLLEGE AND CAN BE COLLECTED ONCE THE COLLEGE CLASSES ARE OVER
ANY FORM OF BULLYING OR RAGGING WILL RESULT IN A STRICT DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE AUTHORITY OF PEARL ACADEMY AND CAN RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE COLLEGE WITH A NEGATIVE CONDUCT CERTIFICATE.
CHEWING OF PAAN, TOBACCO, PAN MASALA, BETEL NUT OR ANY KIND OF UNHEALTHY PRODUCTS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE PREMISES OF THE COLLEGE.
SPITTING OR SOILING THE WALLS OF CLASSROOMS, LABORATORIES, CORRIDORS, HALLWAYS, CANTEEN, TOILETS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED BY STUDENTS
Students should treat college staff with respect at all times and be courteous to fellow students.
Students will refrain from damaging any form of school property. The authority of Pearl Academy reserves the right to be compensated by the student for any such damages.
Students will refrain from littering and keep the college premises clean.
Unacceptable behaviour including but not limited to irregular attendance, academic dishonesty, and neglect of homework, disruptive behaviour, loitering and disrespectful behaviour towards staff or fellow students will result in serious disciplinary action.
Students must take care of the college property. No scratches, writings or drawings may be made on the college furniture or walls.
Any mis-behaviour or violation of college discipline will be dealt by the disciplinary committee of Pearl Academy and corrective action will be taken. In extreme cases parents will be called in to discuss the child’s behaviour and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the school.
It is compulsory to bring the school issued ID card to college every day. Not bringing the ID card could result in the child not being allowed into the college premises. The HS 1st Year Students have to renew their ID Cards as and when they get promoted to HS 2nd Year class.
If any student is found to be misusing the ID Card or the name of the college in any way, he/she may face strict disciplinary action and may result in expulsion from the college;
For safety and security, parents should refrain from sending money with their child without specific written notice from the college.

Students must respect and obey their teachers and college authorities at all times.
Shouting in the classrooms and corridors during study hours is forbidden. Students must not indulge in fights and physical and verbal abuse in College. Stringent action will be taken against all students instigating and/or participating in such acts.
Students may not go to the toilets or to drink water during class time. Such needs must be attended to during the break. However, if any student has a medical problem, the same must be brought to the notice of the class teacherin writing with medical certificate attached.
Students shall not go outside the college campus during class hours or during the lunch break.
RULES OF STUDENT ATTENDANCE
1) All students must be present on the first day and last day of each term. Students must also be present on the re-opening day after The Summer/Puja Break.
2) In all cases of absence from the college, the parent is expected to inform the office of Pearl Academy
3) Absence for 3 to 5 days on medical grounds must be accompanied by a medical certificate and should be sanctioned by a doctor. For any other absence of more than 5 days the written sanction of the Principal is required.
4) Students who are absent on the re-opening days after a Term/holidays without prior permission from the Principal will not be permitted into the class.
5) No student should leave the college premises without the permission of the Director/ Principal/Class Teacher. Parents seeking to take their child/ward during college hours must meet the Director/ Principal/Class Teacher for permission. Students will be permitted to leave the class during college hours only when the parent reports in person at the college reception and secures the necessary permission.
6) Students will not be sent with drivers/friends/relatives without the written request of the Parent.
7) Students who have been absent for more than a month without permission are liable to have their names struck off the rolls and have to seek readmission.
8) Students suffering from contagious diseases must stay away from the college and seek medical attention. A student returning to college after suffering from an infection or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from the Doctor. Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
9) As according to the stipulations of AHSEC, It is compulsory for the students to have at least 85% of their classattendance in the year to make them eligible to sit for their Test/final exams. Students declared as "dis-collegiate" shall not be allowed to appear in the HS first Year/Final Year Examination. However, the percentage, could be relaxed on serious medical grounds.
10) Any student leaving from college early or coming late to the College ( after the gate closes ) will be marked absent for the day.
DRESS AND APPEARANCE OF STUDENTS
Students must come to the College wearing the correct school uniform. Uniform must be neatly cleaned and ironed.
Personal cleanliness, hygiene and neatness is expected at all times. Hair must be neatly cut/pinned/plaited and combed. Nails must be kept clean and short. Boys must maintain their hair trim and neat.Fancy hairstyles and coloured hair is not allowed.
Shoes must be polished and clean
Failure to comply may result in the student being sent home.
Students are not permitted to wear costly or fancy watches, chains, earrings, belts etc.
Students are not allowed to colour / spike / gel their hair, wear nailpolish, tattoo or any henna design. Fancy hairstyles are not allowed.

PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS AND EXAM RESULT DAYS
1) Pearl Academy holds Parent Teacher meetings from time to time to discuss important topics and discuss about the progress of their ward
2) All Parents must attend the scheduled Parent Teacher meetings and Exam Result Days in the interest of their wards.
3) All report cards will be handed over only to the parents/guardians. Under no circumstances will the report card be given to a student or any other unauthorized person.
4) Under exceptional circumstances if the parent would like the report card to be handed over to any other responsible person, the prior permission of the Principal has to be obtained and a letter of authorization must be given to that person.
MEETING FACULTY/STAFF MEMBERS
1) The reporting time for all Faculty/Staff members is 8.30 a.m.
2) Parents seeking quick clarifications from the Faculty/Staff, may meet them between 11.00 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. on school working days.
3) Under no circumstances may a teacher be disturbed in the classrooms. Parents must also make it convenient to meet the Director/ Principal/Class Teacher/ Subject Teacher in case of such request by the school authorities.
4) Parents may meet the Director/ Principal/Class Teacher/ Subject Teacher by prior appointment.
